The Ripstop Short is another go-to, all around short. The design features that make these targeted for Mountain biking is the length options, and the added Zip up side pocket & panel.
 
The ripstop makes these a step up in durability but they are also Quick dry, soft, & 4-way stretch. These have tall, large pockets so your items stay in them for between laps. They are made from a Poly/Spandex blend and are meant to withstand both time on the trails or in the lake.
 
Select your preferred inseam length.
